Efforts are being to prevent form cutting more trees, but to realize the significance of making cities greener is of importance. Making cities greener has many advantages. First, it can make our air cleaner. Scientific research has proved that trees can reduce great amount of carbon in the atmosphere through absorption. Secondly it can make our cities more beautiful. With trees and flowers everywhere, there is a pleasant feeling that we live in a beautiful garden. Finally, it can produce timber-an effective way to solve the problem of the limited supply of natural resources. Making our cities greener requires a nationwide effort. There should not only be a widespread awareness of its contribution to the quality of the urban environment, but also a common action to plant more trees and preserve them form commercial use.

Now we have a growing population of senior citizens. To ensure happy lives for them has become a focus of attention. Our traditional respect of the aged needs updating. They deserve respect, understanding, coMPAnion, entertainment and so on.

There are many things to be done to honor senior citizens. In cities, senior citizens should enjoy some privileges, such as special seats on buses, reduced fares for entertainment and traveling, and other benefits. We should do everything to solve their practical problems, to warm their hearts, and to make them happy. In addition, we should find some ways to piovide affordable medical health care,which is of vital importance to them. Besides, there should be recreation halls and care- centers for the aged. Most important of all, the state should ensure a decent pension for them, peasants in particular. In the vast countryside, most aged people are financially supported by their sons, whose life is aperpetual struggle against poverty. What can they do if they are childless?

Senior citizens, parents in particular, need our love and deserve the best care. Respecting senior citizens bears vital importance to the family - planning policy in China. If we do our best to honor ourparents and the aged, our children will follow our example.

Help Children to Be Independent Thanks to the “family plan”policy,today in China many families have one and caring for children is an old Chinese tradition that has remained for thousands of the children are spoilt so much that they have less rely on their parents in is bad for a child's ,parents should develop the children's independence instead of doing everything for them.

There are some ways to help children to be of all,you should believe your children can do the things ,give them more chances to practise,when they don't know how to do it,just tell them the ,don't be afraid to see them the beginning,they may do something don't worry,just let them try can do the work as well as you if given more time.

everybody has his friends. some people like to choose friends who are different from themselves while others prefer those who are similar to themselves. each of the choices has its advantages.

when people have friends similar to themselves， they and their friends can chat， play， and do things together harmoniously. the result is that they all feel relaed and can truly enjoy each others company.

when a guy has friends different from himself， the advantage he has is that he can benefit from the contacts with different people. his friends may be different from him in character， education， occupation， social status， or political and religious beliefs. from those friends， he can learn a lot of things that he has never eperienced himself and he can also enjoy being with thera when they know each other well.

comparing the advantages of both cases， i think that it would be better for me to have both kinds of friends …… some who are similar to me and some who are different from me. in this way， i can have the best of both worlds. for instance， when i want to rela or when i am too tired to be careful about my speech and manner， i can stay with those friends who are like me. but， when i feel like it， it is also possible for me to stay with those who are different from me and learn something new.
