Unit 16 Lesson 63
Hello, everyone. Today I’m very pleased to have an opportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas. My topic is life in the oceans takenfromLesson 63 of Unit 16 in SEFC(2)。 It is made up of four parts.
Part 1 My understanding of this lesson
The analysis of the teaching material:
This lesson is a reading passage. It plays a very important part in the English teaching of this unit. Lesson 62 and Lesson 63 are a whole unit. By studying Lesson 63, Ss can improve their reading ability, learn more about the sea and the life in the oceans. At the same time, we should get the students to understand some difficult sentences to comprehendthe passage better. The Ss should do some listening, speaking and writing, too. Of course, the Ss should receive some moral education. Let the Ss understand the sea better, love the sea and save the sea and the life of the sea.
Teaching aims:
1、 Knowledge aim: Understand the main idea of the text.
2、 Ability aim: Retell the text in their own words.
3、 Emotional aim: Make the Ss love the life of the sea and do something to stop it being polluted.
Key points / Teaching important points:
How to understand the text better.
Teaching difficult points:
1、 Use your own words to retell the text.
2、 Discuss the pollution of the sea and how to save the sea.
Something about the Ss:
1、 The Ss have known something about the sea and sea life through the Internet and other ways.

Part 2 My teaching theories, methods and aids

Part 3. Teaching steps / procedures
I have designed the following steps to train their ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing, especially reading ability.
The entire steps are:
Greetings, Revision, Lead-in and preparation for reading, Fast reading(scanning), Listening, Intensive reading, Preparation for details of the text, Consolidation, Discussion, Homework
Step 1 Greetings
Greet the whole class as usual.
Step 2. Revision
1、 Ask students some questions to revise the last lesson(show them on the screen)。
a. How much salt do the oceans contain per thousand parts of water?(35 parts of salt. % by weight)
b. What is coral? Why are corals not found in deep water?
c. Why is the Dead Sea called the Dead Sea?
2、 Check the homework(made a survey about the sea or sea life by surfing the Internet or asking for helpfromother people)。 Through this part we can consolidate what they studied yesterday, communicate with others about their survery results and prepare for the new lesson.
Step 3. Lead-in and preparation for reading
Show them some pictures and let them talk each other, and then use the pictures about sea and life in the oceans to learn new words, for example, Antarctica, huge whale, sperm whale, squid and so on.
Purpose: Arouse the students’ interest of study.
Bring in new subject: Life in the oceans.
Step 4. Fast reading
Read the passage as quickly as they can. I show the questions on the screen and let them get the main idea of each paragraph:
1、 Why can living things live in such oceans around the Antarctica?
2、 What does the whale feed on?
3、 What is the difference between the sperm whale and other whales?
Method: Read the text individually, use question—and—answer activity.
Purpose: Improve the students’ reading ability.
Understand the general idea of each paragraph.
Step 5. Listening(book closed)
1、 Listen to the tape then do an exercise(wb page 90, part 1)
2、 True or false exercise.(on the screen)
Train the Ss’ listening ability and prepare for later exercises.
Step 6. Intensive reading
Read the passage carefully again and answer some detailed questions on the screen.
1、 How much does a whale eat at a time?
2、 Do all the whales feed on small fish?
3、 How deep can a sperm whale dive?
It is also called depth reading or study reading. It means reading for detailed information.
Purpose: Further understand the text (Train further reading ability) to find out some different sentences and details of the text.
Step 7. Preparation for details of the text on the screen

Purpose: Train the Ss’ ability of understanding and using laguage.
Step 8. Consolidation
1、 Find out the topic sentences.
2、 Retell the passage according to the topic sentences.
Purpose: I want to know if my students understand the whole text really and if they master what I mean to tell them in this class. What’s more, I want to let them have the ability of introducing and analyzing expression. At the same time, I will write down the topic sentences on the blackboard according to what the students find, so they can retell it easily.
Step 9. Discussion
Show them some pictures about the polluted sea and many living things which are in danger and ask them: What are their opinions about it? In order to let them have free choice, I give them another topic: The sea is being polluted. What should they do?
Purpose: I mean to give them emotional education. I give them multi-media pictures to arouse their interest of study and their love for life. I mean to make them realize: The sea is in danger!
I teach them to do their best to help it and do somethingfromnow on. Everyone should do something to love and protect our home.
Step 10. Homework
Write an article Saving the sea. I want to improve the ability of their writing. At the same time, train the ability of do-it-yourself and looking up the information by themseleves.
Part 4. Blackboard design
Unit 16 Lesson 63
Topic Sentences:

Discussion:
1、 The whales are in danger. What’s your opinion about it?

In my opinion, the blackboard design can reflect the teacher’s ability of mastering the text and leading the students to master the text easily.
In this text, the design is not easy to write. I write the topic sentences on the blackboard in order to tell the students that this is of the importance in this class. The discussion is of the difficulty.
I want to make the design inductive, instructive and artistic.

Good morning, everyone, It’s my great pleasure to be here sharing my lesson with you. The content of my lesson is New Senior English for China Book3 U1 Festivals Around the World. I’ll be ready to begin this lesson from two parts. The first part is analyzing the teaching material and the second part is teaching procedure. First, let me talk about the teaching material.
Part 1 Teaching Material:
This is the first teaching period of this unit. At the beginning of the class, the teacher can lead in the topic of the unit by having a free talk with students about their winter holidays and the Spring Festival.
The Warming Up is intended to have students start thinking about the variety of events and festivals that are celebrated in China. The teacher can ask the students if they have some idea about the foreign and domestic festivals.
The Pre-reading is a continuation of the Warming Up and it moves the discussion to a more personal level. It is intended to help students enter imaginatively into a discussion of festivals and their importance to the society. It also directs their attention to the variety of events and activities those festivals include.
The reading passage titled Festivals and Celebrations which is briefly describes the earliest kinds of festivals with the reasons for them, and then four different kinds of festivals that occur in most parts of the world. Encourage students to look at the pictures and the heading of each section to guess what the text might be about. The teacher can first let them work in pairs or in groups to find the answers together, and then check their answers with the whole class. Students should be required to talk about festivals in their own words at the end of the class.
Part 2 Teaching Steps:
In my opinion, the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to develop the students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. Therefore, the teaching steps are very important and they should be arranged in good orders. Moreover, the teaching methods should be considered in this part, such as pair work activity and Students –Centered-Teaching.
Now let me introduce my teaching steps.
Step 1 Leading-in
I will have a free talk with students. Ask them the following questions: Did you have a good time in your winter holidays? How did you celebrate your Spring Festival?
With this topic we will begin the new unit which is talk about the festivals around the world.
Step 2 Warming up
I will let students talk about other Chinese festivals that they familiar to. (Lantern Festival, Pure Brightness Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, New Year’s Day, Chung Yeung Festival. 。 。 )
And then I will let students read the information about Chinese festivals in the book and discuss another three Chinese festivals. Next I will let them complete the form in this part in pair work and ask some to share their opinions with the whole class.
After finish the form I will talk about some foreign festivals with students by PPT such as Christmas, April Fools’ Day, Easter, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving Day and so on.
Step 3 Pre-reading
In this part, we will have a discussion about the following questions:
What festivals or celebrations do you have in your city or town? What part of a festival do you like best—the activities, the music, the sights, the food or the people who visit?
Step 4 Reading
This part will conclude 3 parts, the fast reading, intensive reading and reading and discussion. About the fast reading, I will ask students to skim the reading passage and then fill in a following chart. This part is very important because students can improve their reading skills and reading speed by skimming reading scanning reading.
For the intensive reading part I will allow students to read carefully this time to understand the main ideas of each paragraph and the important details, and then finish some questions.
Last is the reading and discussion, in this part, the students are allowed to read the text a third time and then work in pairs to finish the form and discuss which festivals are the most important and which are the most fun. I will encourage them to expand their answer by their own experience.
Step 5 Homework The last step is homework.
1、 Learn the useful new words and expressions in this part by heart.
2、 Read the reading passage again and again and try to talk about festivals both in and out of China.
Purpose of the homework: I think homework is so important that the students should speak English as much as they can in class or after class. It is necessary for the students to do some exercises after class to master the knowledge they learned. Last by not least, class mood is very important for both students and teachers. I will make my class in an easy mood by using some beautiful music and flash or other suitable methods. 《“中国制造”走向世界》说课稿
一、说教材
本节选自于苏教版小学品德与社会六年级下册第一单元第三课第1课时。本节教材有三部分内容:第一部分“新闻发布会”,主要是让学生展示搜集到的中国制造的产品;第二部分是:走向世界的“中国制造”;通过两个案例说明中国制造正在走向世界。最后一部分是身边的进口货。教材这样编写主要是通过学生学习,了解在经济全球化的背景下我国和世界的经济互动,培养既不盲目“自大”又不盲目“崇洋”,对外来事物持包容的正确态度。
二、说学情
六年级的学生处于由直观形象思维向抽象逻辑思维过渡的阶段。在本节课之前,学生们已经学习了我们生活在一个地球村。知道了全世界各国之间的联系日益紧密,这位本节课的学习奠定了理论基础。同时,本节课旨在帮助同学们树立全球化的理念,正确对待外来文化和商品的正确态度。
三、说教学目标
根据本学段学生的实际情况和课程标准的规定,结合六年级学生的认知水平及其心理特征,我确定本课的教学目标如下:

五、说教法和学法
为了更好地实现教学目标,突出重点、突破难点,结合思想品德课程的特点,本节课我将采取以下教学方法:讲授法、情景模拟法、小组讨论法。
为了体现学生学习的主体性,提高学生学习的兴趣,我将指导学生采用自主学习、合作学习和探究学习的学习方法。
六、说教学过程
研究教法和学法是搞好教学的前提和基础,而合理安排教学程序,则是教学成功的关键一环。为使学生学有所获,根据本课教材的特点,我将从四个环节展开我的教学。
环节一:新课导入
谈话导入法:同学们,之前老师去国外旅游,买了些国外的产品回来,没想到回来一看,竟然写着“made in china”。同学们知道这是什么意思吗?如果我们留心身边的话,就会发现我们身边有很多东西上标有“中国制造”的字样,它表明这件东西是我们中国制造出来的。现在国外许多地方可以看到这样的产品,我国出口商品的情况是怎样的呢?
设计意图:谈话的内容来自于学生的生活实际和知识储备,同时又紧扣教学内容,通过设问还能够激发学生主动探究的兴趣和欲望,快速进入本节课的学习。
环节二:新课讲授
接下来是合作探究环节,在这一环节,我主要采用了情境教学法、合作探究法来实现教学目标,突破教学重点。首先让学生认识到“中国制造”正在走向世界舞台的中心。
1.新闻发布会
第一步,学生分别走上讲台,展示所收集的关于我国出口商品信息的资料。
第二步,台下同学做小记者,简要地记下相关数据。
你还知道中国制造的哪些产品的产量已经居世界首位?
教师讲解国表的有关知识,结合之前记录的数据,请学生试着画一个与我国出口商品状况有关的图表,横、纵坐标自拟。
设计意图:通过多媒体展示,让学生体会到中国制造的竞争力越来越强。
2.走向世界的中国制造
第一步,下面就让我们借助课件去了解一下“made in china”的产品在国外的销售情况。
(1)出示南非地图。了解南非与中国的距离。
(2)在这儿举行了轰动全球的世界杯足球赛。让我们走近南非世界杯,来参观一下场内外。
难怪别人说中国足球队没进南非世界杯,可中国制造却在南非世界杯上狠狠地赢了一把。
第二步我们来思考,仅仅只有南非有我们的'“made in china”吗?(不是,还有很多,如,美国、日本、法国……)
(出示地图)是的,“made in china”遍布世界各地。
第三步请一位同学朗读课本第17页《我在美国逛超市》,其他同学注意听。
同桌之间交流,你对黄奇逛美国超市的经历有什么感想?
讨论:黄奇发现姨妈过去从国外回来时总是大包小包地往国内带东西,现在却是在国内买很多东西,大包小包地往美国带,你能帮他解释一下其中的奥秘吗?
(老师提示:小学生黄奇和姨妈的交往背景是我国经济近年来快速增长,人民生活水平有很大的提高,若干年前的中国经济和人民生活水平与现在有较大差别。姨妈给黄奇家带东西,反映的是当时国内居民收入低,市场物资匮乏的状况,姨妈从国内买东西带往国外,反映的是国内用品的质量和款式与美国市场相同或相近并且价格低廉。)

3.我身边的进口货
第一步,教师出示几件来自其他国家的物品。
师:同学们有没有注意过,在我们的日常生活中,有许多物品来自世界上其他的国家和地区,比如美国的饮料、荷兰的奶酪、西欧的巧克力、加拿大的面粉、澳大利亚的羊毛衫、瑞士的手表、日本的家用电器等。 请同学们思考这种现象说明了什么?
设计意图:通过比较,认识到中国货走向世界的同时,进口货也走进国门,经济交流是双向的,初步培养学生经济全球化的意识。
环节三:巩固提高
学生整理产自其他国家和地区的物品的调查结果,填写调查报告,调查报告主要包括物品名称,品牌,产地,调查方式等。 前后座同学之间互相交流调查报告。
设计意图:通过学生自己动手整理,可以引发学生们的思考,培养学生的发散型思维。
环节四:布置作业
最后是布置作业的环节,我打算让同学们以小组为单位,写一份关于“走向世界的中国制造”的调查报告,包括中国制造的优势、存在的问题及改进的建议。
设计意图:设计小组调查报告,可以培养学生的团队合作能力和逻辑思维能力。

一、大家来看这张图片,大家猜一猜这是哪个少数民族呢?
土家族
二、了解土家族。
主要分布在湖北恩施、长阳和湖南湘西的土家族苗族自治州等地。奉道教、佛教为主,有着浓厚的“天人合一”的生命意识。接下来我们就来欣赏一首根据湖南土家族“打溜子”改编的器乐曲《锦鸡出山》。乐曲以锦鸡为描写对象,通过几种打击乐器特有的音色及多边的演奏技法,生动地刻画了锦鸡的各种生活动态。
三、作品鉴赏
(一)《锦鸡出山》
1、聆听乐曲,说说有哪些乐器?乐曲的情绪是如何的?
生:锣、鼓
常用四种乐器:溜子鼓、头钹、二钹、马锣。
情绪如何呢?热烈、喜庆的
2、全曲下设了五个小标题,借着小标题划分了全曲的段落。在一定的程度上,这些小标题提示了乐曲所要表现的形象内容。
3、复听,根据提示,形象音乐情景,完成表格问题。
师:接下来我们就根据小标题来分段欣赏。一边听一边完成下面表格,从速度、节奏、力度三个方面来鉴赏比较。(分段听后模唱)
山间春色:表现山清水秀、春暖花开、美丽怡人的春天景色。乐曲采用上下句对偶及螺蛳结顶的手法陈述音乐内容。
结队出山:揭示锦鸡由少而多,由静而动的结队出山的情景。
溪间戏游:表现锦鸡嬉戏的欢乐情景。
众御顽敌:表现发现敌情、与敌对峙、向敌进攻、群起而攻、敌人退却逃跑等形象。
荣归:表现锦鸡胜利后昂首阔步、神气十足的形象。
4、会在怎样的生活情景中出现呢?表达了人们怎样的生活的感情?

(二)《滚核桃》
1、接下来我们来欣赏一首山西的打击乐《滚核桃》。根据山西绛州鼓乐改编的一首作品。
聆听乐曲,想一想,在鼓的哪些部位发音。
生:鼓面鼓梆鼓槌
2、分段赏析。乐曲包括了头、身、尾三个组成部分。“头”为散板,带有引子的性质。
节奏有什么特点?慢起渐快。演奏时先用合奏,而后由十名鼓手轮流奏鼓梆,渲染出一种晒核桃的生活情景。
3、乐曲主题部分“身”。师:这段演奏有什么特点呢?
生:节拍非常明确。你都听出了哪些节拍?4/43/42/4。
音色很丰富。
师:这段演奏技法包括:桥击鼓梆、乔击鼓面、闷击鼓面、双手交叉桥击鼓梆、交替敲击鼓槌和鼓梆、单手滚奏、闷击向前推奏、闷击向后退奏等。由于演奏技法的差异,造成音响音色上的不同。
4、这段描写了怎样的情景?乐曲的情绪又是如何的呢?
生:表现了农民秋收时节在房顶晾晒核桃的情景。他们丰收时的喜悦心情。情绪热烈欢庆。
5、练习节奏。
6、教师介绍有关背景材料。
7、乐曲的“尾”。节奏有何特点呢?
快起减慢。节奏逐渐松弛下来。
师:描写了怎样的情景呢?生:表现人们休息下来后那种悠闲舒适的生活景象。
(三)《童谣》
1、接下来我们来欣赏一首北京的民间乐曲《童谣》。它是根据北京儿歌《打花巴掌》转化而来的。听一听,乐曲的情绪的是如何的呢?
生:乐曲表现了一种欢快、活泼、诙谐的音乐情绪。充满了童趣。
2、其中模仿人声的乐器是什么呢?
管子。《打花巴掌》这首歌采用先数板后唱歌的形式。在《童谣》里担任着模仿儿童数板任务的就是管子。也叫口噙子,是一种含在嘴里的发声器。
3、以吹管乐器为主,辅以打击乐器,演奏曲目多采用民歌或戏曲唱腔的乐曲就叫吹歌。它是“鼓吹乐”的一个类别。
4、复听乐曲,表演“口噙子数板”
四、归纳概括
1、请学生归纳本节课的音乐知识。
2、教师点评。
打溜子、鼓吹乐、吹歌。
五、课堂小结
让一名学生谈本课主要收获。
六、课外拓展
收集有关当地鼓吹乐的文字、音响资料,将其记录下来。
