As for this new phenomenon, people have differentideas about it. Some think that doing shopping online is time- andenergy-saving. People can buy anything at anytime they like without a computerhooked onto the Internet. They may say good-bye to the exhausting journey ofsearching. While others believe that they cannot touch, smell, or taste whatthey want. They don’t feel certain about their choice. Online shopping is common in our daily life now. There are two kinds of opinion about it.

Some people think that online shopping has a lot of advantages. The most important one is its convenience. People don’t have to waste their time and energy to go from one shop to another to buy commodities they like. This is especially useful to the busy people, the aged and the disable people who can’t go to shops in person. Besides, on the Internet there is enough information of all kinds of commodities, and people are able to buy things from a distant place.

But other people object to online shopping. They think that the real goods may be different from what the consumers have seen on the Net, thus the quality of commodities bought online may not be ensured. What’s worse, once cheated online, one may find it difficult to make a complaint.

In my opinion, it is better for all to be careful when shopping online.

大学英语四级写作是大学生英语综合应用能力中的薄弱项目，也是教学难点。教师不仅要教授学生基本的写作规范，更要教授他们写作技巧尤其是英语思维能力和表达能力，才能真正提升学生的写作水平，提高大学生的英语综合应用能力。

一、大学生英语四级写作水平现状分析

根据2007年教育部公布的《大学英语课程教学要求》，大学四级阶段的一般要求是：“能完成一般性写作任务，能描述个人经历、情感和发生的事件等，能写常见的应用文，能在半小时内就一般性话题或提纲写出不少于120词的短文，内容基本完整，中心思想明确，用词恰当，语意连贯。能掌握基本的写作技能。”然而，笔者在多年的教学实践和各类英语测试，以及对学生的调查问卷中发现多数学生还不能达到上述写作的一般要求，调查问卷中影响学生写作的最重要的因素依次是词汇量、语法、写作技巧和汉语思维。写作难点依次是文字通顺，连贯性强；重点突出，文章逻辑性强，文章切题，表达思想清楚。榱私饩錾鲜鑫侍猓笔者尝试在大学英语四级写作教学中引入美国康奈尔大学的研究成果――概念图，以帮助学生提高英语思维能力和书面表达能力，这在大学英语写作教学中是首次尝试。（截至2015年12月31日中国知网期刊文献检索。）

二、概念图简介

概念图（Concept Map）又称为概念构图。1984年美国康奈尔大学的诺瓦克教授（）把概念图定义为：用来组织和表征知识的实用工具，是一种以科学命题的形式显示概念之间的意义联系，并用具体事例加以说明，从而把所有的基本概念有机联系起来的空间网络结构图。概念图通常将有关某一主题不同级别的概念或命题置于方框或圆圈内，再以各种连线将相关的概念和命题连接，这样就形成了关于该主题的概念或命题网络，从而以形象化的方式表征学习者的知识结构及对某一主题的理解。

概念图的典型表现形式是图形组织器（Graphic Organizer），图形组织器能够通过特定的图示来隐含某种特定的思维结构关系，为教学者和学习者提供一种使用和加工信息的认知支持框架，即一种图形组织器通常就代表着一类思维模式或者认知方法。借助认知工具，学生能获得充分的感知信息，产生意义构建，从而促进认知能力和创新能力的发展。

三、基于概念图的大学英语四级写作教学策略

概念图以直观形象的方式表达知识结构，有效呈现思考过程及知识关联，可以帮助学生理清文章脉络，把握文章的逻辑关系，提取出关键概念、一般概念、概念及具体概念，确定不同层级的概念及各级概念间的逻辑关系，同时帮助学生进行合理的文章布局，提高英语思维能力和表达能力。在写作课堂教学中，教师凭借概念图通过以下几个步骤提高大学生的英语四级写作水平。

（一）运用概念图提高学生的阅读能力

学生写作内容空洞，文章重点不突出，逻辑性不强，缺乏写作技巧，书写中式英语，这些都与英语阅读的深度与广度不够有关。下面以2002年6月大学英语四级考试的作文题目Student Use of Computers为例，帮助学生理解作者的写作思路和文章结构。

1.采用“对比矩阵”这一图形组织器简单对比某校大学生使用计算机惊人的时间变化。（见图一）

2.采用“鱼骨图”这一图形组织器显示这一现象产生的原因。（见图二）

3.采用“流程图”这一图形组织器显示现在大学生在使用计算机中遇到的问题。（见图三）

作者的写作思路是首先对所给图表进行描述，通过时间对比发现：五年内大学生使用计算机的时间增加了10倍。究其原因，首先是科学和技术的迅速发展，各个领域普遍使用计算机。其次是熟练使用计算机成为大学生就业的必备能力。最后是计算机购买价格的逐步降低，大学生的经济能力能够承受，更为大学生长期使用计算机提供了条件。作者的思路清晰，逻辑严密，层次清楚，重点突出。最后指出一周使用20小时进行娱乐消遣，时间过长会影响学习成绩，本末倒置，大学生要引以为戒。

这种可视化思维便于学生理解、记忆及反复套用，可以达到举一反三、融会贯通的效果。同时可以改变学生的思维习惯，减轻学生写作时的焦虑，减少写作时间，提高写作效率。

（二）运用概念图提高学生的写作能力

部分学生害怕写作的原因之一是不习惯英语的“直线型”思维模式，感到无从着手，不知道如何布局谋篇。教师可以教学生借助概念图这一可视化工具，将文章整体结构和段落间的逻辑关系清晰明了地表达出来。下面以2011年6月大学英语四级考试的作文题目Online Shopping为例，帮助学生拓宽写作思路，写出个性化作文。

构思一：采用“对比矩阵”这一图形组织器对比表达网上购物与实体店购物的优势和劣势（网上购物节省很多时间，减少不少开支，但是信任度降低；实体店购物花费很多时间，开支有所增加，可是信任度却提高。），然后通过两种购物方式比较后提出自己的建议：规范网购的规章制度，使人们尽情享受网购的方便和愉快。（见下表）

构思二：采用“鱼骨图”这一图形组织器来突出时尚的网上购物的好处，显示构成其优势的四个主要原因：节省很多时间；减少不少开支；享受网购的愉快及方便。最后强调作者的观点：规范网购的规章制度，使人们尽情享受网购的方便和愉快。（见图四）

通过概念图这一可视化的思维工具，学生明确了文章的写作框架，再对概念进行排序，确定层级关系中，深刻把握了文章内容之间的深层结构，从而使文章中心思想明确，层次分明，语意连贯，掌握基本的写作技巧。

（三）教师实践中应该注意的问题

笔者通过调查问卷和课后访谈了解到，100%的大学生对概念图一无所知或者不熟悉，因此要求学生绘制概念图具有一定的难度，所以老师要和学生一起协作绘制概念图。学生熟练绘图后才能使概念图这一可视化思维工具为自己所用，在英语写作中起到重要作用。具体操作步骤如下：

1.师生一起确定所选概念，注意提醒学生不要使用句子，注意规范语法，讲究大小写。

2.师生一起给概念排序，确定层级关系，理清文章脉络。

3.师生一起确定连接词，把概念间的逻辑关系表达清楚，这是学生绘制概念图的难点也是重点。

在学生基本学会绘制概念图以后，教师可以通过让学生给概念图空缺填空（在标准概念图中留下一些空白的概念或者空白的连接词），检验学生对概念的产生、内涵和外延的熟悉程度。也可以要求学生认真读图，进行改错（在标准的概念图中把几个正确的概念或者连接词换成错误的概念或者连接词）来检测学生对写作材料的记忆、理解和准确把握程度。通过上述训练使学生熟悉绘制概念图，借助概念图进行图式思维，开阔写作思路，提高创新思维能力，促进理解和记忆。

四、结语

通过写作课的教学实践，教师发现借助概念图学生写作时可以快速构思，预先确定文章的结构和组织材料，提高创新思维能力，增强思维的流畅性和逻辑性，写作思维更加开阔，重点突出，逻辑严密，文字更加连贯，掌握基本的写作技能。同时写作的兴趣有所提高，写作效率有所提升，自我效能感有所增强。概念图作为知识和思维的可视化工具，使大学生在大学英语四级写作中有图可循，在拓展写作思路中具有重要作用，ζ渌英语写作教学策略也有一定的借鉴作用。
