英文演讲稿1
you all are leaving your alma mater now. i have no gift to present you all except a piece of advice.
what i would like to advise is that "don’t give up your study." most of the courses you have taken are partly for your certificate. you had no choice but to take them. from now on, you may study on your own. i would advise you to work hard at some special field when you are still young and vigorous. your youth will be gone that will never come back to you again. when you are old, and when your energy are getting poorer, you will not be able to as you wish to. even though you have to study in order to make a living, studies will never live up to you. making a living without studying, you will be shifted out in three or five years. at this time when you hope to make it up, you will say it is too late. perhaps you will say, "after graduation and going into the society, we will meet with an urgent problem, that is, to make a living. for this we have no time to study. even though we hope to study, we have no library nor labs, how can we study further?"毕业典礼英文演讲稿
i would like to say that all those who wait to have a library will not study further even though they have one and all these who wait to have a lab will not do experiments even though they have one. when you have a firm resolution and determination to solve a problem, you will naturally economize on food and clothing.
as for time, i should say it’s not a problem. you may know that every day he could do only an hour work, not much more than that because darwin was ill for all his life. you must have read his achievements. every day you spend an hour in reading 10 useful pages, then you will read more than 3650 pages every year. in 30 years you will have read 110,000 pages.
my fellow students, reading 110,000 pages will make you a scholar. but it will take you an hour to read three kinds of small-sized newspapers and it will take you an hour and a half to play four rounds of mahjian pieces. reading small-sized newspapers or playing mahjian pieces, or working hard to be a scholar? it’s up to you all.
henrik ibsen said, "it is your greatest duty to make yourself out."
studying is then as tool as casting. giving up studying will destroy yourself.
i have to say goodbye to you all. your alma mater will open her eyes to see what you will be in 10 years. goodbye!

The comments of advantages and disadvantage human being of the people who born before 20xxs' plays a independent role in the modern society. Some of them said people who born before 20xxs’ were self-fish and have no idea with expect. The opposite held that their behavior is depence on the educator which their parents. Based upon the comments, I will discuss both view and try to find a eqibulium point on it.
The 20xxs' does not have to take all responsibility to their disrespect issue, as we known, most of us were only-child in our family, which means our parents provide all kind of objective stuff to satisfied our requirment. They provide and do not want get any reponse but the results of exam. However, they are working on their career and got less time to have a chat with their children, that is the directly major impact of the children. When they get some problem, such as robed by the gangster in school, they would not be able to talk to their parents, because of they are busy. The fact, children who disrespect to other people had a directly relationship with what their parents teaching.
As I mentioned, parents should have to take some responsibility of children's behavior, on the other hand. 20xxs' still need to find out the problem on themselves. To escaped the reason of their behavior coming, they still have some sparking point, such as creative.
Their parents bring them to learn some classes they are interested in, such as piano. According to this, their life were diversity. They do what their like, no body force them to do anything. According to this, they are highly concentrate and dedicated in what they like, and they mint be able to achive more in they area.
To conclusion, the major part of 20xx's are simply normal like what their parents do. They were copy the behavior of their parents, in this point, there are no such thing wrong but the education. Parents does what they should do, and the children will not be able to walking down to the wrong way.
英文演讲稿4
A university professor started off his class by picking out of his back pocket a 20-pound note. And in this lecture hall of about 200 people he asked, "How many of you would like this note?"
Naturally, all 200 hands went up. He said, "Interesting." He then said, "Before I let you have it, let me ask you this question." He took the note and folded it in half twice, and then he said, "How many of you want this note?" Still 200 hands went up. Now he said, "Let me try something else." He took the note and he crumpled it.
And he said, "How many of you want this note now?" Still 200 hands went up. Finally he chucked the note on the floor. He screwed it with his shoe and crumpled it even more, picked it back up, now with dirt, and said, "How many of you want this note?"
All 200 hands were still up. He said, "Today, you’ve learned an important lesson. No matter how much I crumpled that note, how much I scrunched it up, how many times it was trodden on, you still wanted it, because it was still worth 20-pounds."
In the same way that that 20-pound note held its value,so do you."
No matter how many times life will tread on you, life will crumple you, life will scrunch you, and life squeeze you, you will always keep your value, that spark within us all of bliss, knowledge, and eternity that exists, that spark will never be taken away.
Our value is not created by the price of our clothes or our bank balance or the job title that we have. See, we should be building life and not just building our CVs. The challenge we have is that we only talk about people’s failures when they succeed.
And that’s why they become this taboo or we feel like their failures never happened. We need to share these stories earlier.
We need to bring out these stories and experiences on the journey so that people who are on the jouney can actually follow in those footsteps. And that’s why Steve Jobs said, "You can’t connect the dots moving forward. You only can when you’re looking backwards."

honorable judges, fellow students: good afternoon!
recently, ther is a heated debate in our society. the college students arethe beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education atextraordinary places. but will we be able to face the challenge and supportourselves against all odds? will we be able to better the lives of others? willwe be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of ourcountry?
the cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, whichwould cringe at the slightest discomfort. but the cynics are wrong. the collegestudents i see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. we helpeach other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take parttime jobs to supplement our pocket money.
the cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect theneed for character cultivation. but again, the cynics are wrong. we care deeplyfor each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. lastweek, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order tomake a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer.
as college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point inour lives. we all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each willprofoundly impact our future, or even the future of our country. i believe inall my fellow classmates. though we are still inexperienced and even a littlebit childish. i believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challengeand take on our responsibilities. we are preparing to assume newresponsibilities and tasks, and to use the education we have received to makeour world a better place. i believein our future.
Today I am very glad to be here to share with you my ideas of success. Whatis success? It is what everyone is longing success would be rathersimple. Winning a game is success; getting a high grade in the exam is success;making a new friend is success; even now I am
standing here giving my speech is somehow also success.
However, as a person’s whole life is concerned, success becomes very
complicated. Is fortune success? Is fame success? Is high social statussuccess? No, I don’t think so. I believe success is the realization ofpeople’
s hopes and , in the modern society there are manypeople
who are regarded as the successful. And the most obvious characteristics ofhem are money, high position and luxurious life. So most people believe that ssuccess and all that they do is for this purpose. But the problem is wether itis real success. We all know there are always more money, higher position andbetter condition in front of us. If we keep chasing them, where is the end? Whatwill satisfy us at last? Therefore, we can see, to get the real Success we mustneed something inside, which is the realization of
people’ hopes and ideals.
Different people have different ideas about success; cause people’s hopesand ideas vary from one another. But I am sure every success is dear toeverybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our strivingfor success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightenedby the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and senseof responsibility. These are the best treasures. So now I am very proud that Ihave this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. It is my success, cause I raise up to challenge my hope.
What is success? Everyone has his own interpretation as I do. But I amsure
every success leads to an ever-brighter future. So ladies and gentlemen, believe in our hopes, believe in ourselves, we, every one of us, can make a
successful life! Wish you all good success!

the most successful person may not be the smartest to asurvey conducted among a group of people who were in the same university tenyears ago , those whose grade-point average was in the middle fifty percent ,all become rich or managers of different fields , while not a single young manof the upper ten percent becomes an executive or boss. why the smartest kids inthe classwill not end up the richest? why those who are not excellent in studiestend to be managers or own their own enterprise in their later life? and whatfactors lead to succein career and life if brains are not the only answer?according to my observation , academic brightneis only part of the story , theother factors are very important. one ingredient , among other things , is goodinterpersonal skills. there is stong evidence that friendship can help to tideyou over a period of difficulty. with a wide circle of friends who can betrusted yo provide information and resources, your chances of succeare muchhigher. on the contrary , if you are competent in profession , but havedifficulty in getting along with your colleagues and even your boss, you canhardly survive the corporation. another component is the ability to expreoneself. in today s world , what really counts is the ability to expreoneself ratherthan technical competence or professional knowledge . the larger the orgnizationof which you are an employee , and th fiercer the competition , the moreimportant it will be that you know how to convey your thoughts and convinceothers of your ideas. personality is also an important factor. whateverdifficulty or situation , those who appear relaxed and confident are nearer tosuccess. obviously , among the ingredients for succe, intelligence counts forthe half , the rest depends on your personality , and other abilities.
