英语电影观后感1

After the appreciation of the film "Titanic", I have noticed some meaningful details behind the peoples” general impression of simply an affectional film.

The wreck of the Titanic occurred in 1912, in which the great recession started from the end of the 19th Century still hasn”t ended. Most critics pointed out that the sinking of the Titanic represents the collapse of the Capitalism in the end of the 19th Century.

However, I would like to say that, in this movie, the director had not only foreran the crisis of the Capitalism, but also showed some of the human nature, from both gloomy and brilliant aspects, like selfish, mammonish, vainglorious, and love, hope, bravery, faith, and so on. In this essay.

I will first reveal this film”s indication of the social context of that age, then I will analyse the two contrary aspects of human nature indicated in this film through some impressive shots.

Under the development of industrial technology, the economy in the Capitalism countries took off. People lived a rich, luxury and expensive life, and this rapid economic development lasted for almost 20 years. People had got used to this kind of life.

The huge development in machinery changed people”s life greatly.

Innovations of transportation, such as vehicles and tankers, allowed people to travel around. The appearance of these modern transportations was an important milestone of the industrialization.

People thus became very confident on human intellectual capabilities. They believed their power of conquering the nature is inapproachable.

It’s not particularly surprising to be disappointed by any puter—animated film not bearing the Pixar logo. In fact, until Shrek,2001’s rollicking success,I wouldn’t have even believed it could happen. What is surprising,is that Ice Age doesn’t even ATTEMPT to reach Pixar’s Toy Story heights, apparently content to revel in its status as Monster’s,Inc。's second rate, half wit cousin. Ice Age is yet another “extinction for kids” movie, one of many in a long line of baby dinosaurs, pterodactyl eggs, and sympathetic cavemen. This time,it’s the ice age,and wooly mammoths roam the earth alongside primitive man。 Strangely enough,in this early world, animals can talk, and humans cannot。 But when a group of would—be—enemies discover a lost human baby, wooly mammoth(Ray Romano),saber—toothed tiger(Dennis Leary),and giant sloth(John Leguizamo)must work along side each other in a journey to return the child to its home。

Visually,Ice Age is perhaps the poorest bit of CGI I have ever seen.。

Contrasted to the beautiful constructs of Monsters,Inc;or even the gooey, gloppy creativity of Shrek;Ice Age is nothing but badly rendered polygons and Acme animated characters. No hint of photo—realism here。 It’s like paring a Bugs Bunny Cartoon to The Lion King. Actually,I suspect that is exactly what the folks at Ice Age were going for.

Ice Age is really little more than a collection of silly animal gags andLeguizamo one liners. Some of them are even quite funny. If that is all that we’re going for here, then I suppose I’m all for it. But then there are these strange attempts at gut wrenching sappiness, which fall painfully flat amidst sub—video game animation. Frankly,I’m not even sure the CGI they use here is up to the task of displaying the kinds of emotions these people are trying to illicit from their characters. The humans more closely resemble totem poles than they do living, breathing, creatures. It’s laughable watching their.

polygon—limited faces trying to emote in response to the story’s attempts at heartfelt, soft touches.

Thankfully, the main characters are animals, which are at least bearably rendered to slapstick fun levels. As a result, what slapstick there is,is highly entertaining。 Sure,Ray Romano’s vocal talents aren’t particularly spectacular. But Dennis Leary and the always—odd John Leguizamo cover for his mammoth ineptitude without hesitation.

The story itself is bland, boring, and uninspired,as is the almost laughably bad animation。 The film’s only real saving graces are some slapstick side trips into the world of an unlucky squirrel and a group of soon—to—be—extinct melon—hoarding dodos. Ice Age’s edy is worthy of Bugs, but unless you’re under 5,you’ll be bored with everything else.

电影观后感英文3

When you assume battle stations for "Pearl Harbor," make sure you sit near the aisle. Youve got three hours to withstand, and only about half of it is war. This is definitely a two-bathroom visit movie.

Its not the length that makes a movie good or bad. Its the pacing. Some three-hour movies, like "Lawrence of Arabia," just glide by. But movies like "Pearl Harbor" drag along because they 。 。 。 take 。 。 。 their 。 。 。 time 。 。 。 about 。 。 。 everything.

Put it this way: When a Japanese military officer reports that "the task force" is 320 miles north of Pearl Harbor, were one hour and 20 minutes into the movie. By then, youre ready to bomb something yourself.

Perhaps they should have called this "Bore-a, Bore-a, Bore-a."

Incidentally, although this Walt Disney movie is based, inspired and even partially informed by a real event referred to as Pearl Harbor, the movie is actually based on the movies "Top Gun," "Titanic" and "Saving Private Ryan." Dont get confused.

And dont be worried about emotional intensity. Its going to take a special effort on your part (probably informed by firsthand wartime experience in World War II) to actually appreciate the emotional impact of what happened on Dec. 7, 1941. "Pearl Harbor"-the-movie, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay (also the director), doesnt evoke that time so much as turn it into a pre-Fourth of July fireworks show.

The movies emotional impact is not helped by the characters. By the time the Japanese are blowing ships out of the water, we have met (and already become sick of) our blandly delineated sweethearts, flying-crazy pilot Rafe McCawley (Ben Affleck) and intelligent, dedicated nurse Evelyn Johnson (Kate Beckinsale)。

We have also observed the lifelong friendship between Rafe and his pal Danny Walker (Josh Hartnett)。 The movie starts with Rafe and Danny as kids, sitting in a motionless crop duster plane, pretending to shoot enemy planes. Some two hours later, theyll be mounting the American counterattack against the Japanese. "Danny, lets play some chicken with these Jap suckers!" yells Rafe.

In what amounts to a superfluous first hour, Rafe, desperate for military action in pre-Pearl Harbor days, volunteers for the Royal Air Force. Suddenly, hes missing, leaving Evelyn and Danny to pick up the pieces and each other. Why waste time worrying if hell reappear in time for Pearl Harbor as well as a romantic dogfight with Danny? Hes Ben Affleck, the movies top-billed player.

Theres more to this so-so movie, including a completely formulaic subplot starring Cuba Gooding Jr. as a ships cook who boxes and machine-guns his way to r-e-s-p-e-c-t (loosely based on a real person, Doris "Dorie" Miller), and Hans Zimmers relentlessly syrupy score. But lets cut to the chase: those central 40 minutes of blitzkrieg special effects. Isnt that why people will be lining the block? My take: The visuals are well done but not mind-blowingly memorable. It would take a director far more gifted than Bay to outdo James Cameron in "Titanic." Perhaps intimidated by this, Bay gives us many scenes featuring marooned men in the water, and many others stuck inside majestic, sinking hulls. And when the Japanese planes strafe those men, he goes underwater – like Steven Spielberg did in "Saving Private Ryan" – to show the cool, glossy white trajectories the tracer bullets make underwater.

Obviously, imitation will get you everywhere.
