如果把考研比作建高楼，那么单词就像一块块石砖。几乎所有经历过考研的过来人都会认同这样一个观念：词汇是考研英语的核心。这个道理不须过多言喻。然而到了实际学习中，频繁记单词，尤其要记住大纲要求的五千五百词汇对学生来说无疑是一件枯燥和沉闷的事。背诵记忆不仅枯燥乏味，而且容易背了又忘，在记忆和遗忘之间徘徊久了容易陷入情绪和效率的双重低谷。人脑终究无法和扫描仪相提并论，因此，我们对单词的记忆总是需要多次重复来加深印象。

记单词确实是一个需要下扎扎实实地下功夫的事，但又并不像磨刀砍柴那样机械和生硬，这是一个发挥自己大脑创造力的过程，在不断地重复中，我们会对单词的形态有一些感性的启发从而加深记忆，对意义有丰富的了解之后可以总结出更多更深的知识点。当然单词复习最重要的是不能孤立地硬生生地抠一个单词，要联系相关词形以及句子和阅读等其他部分的内容来记忆，这才是系统学习一门语言应该有的方式，把英语拆分成单词、翻译、阅读、作文各部分是为了方便学习，在拆分之后还是要做整合才能更好地掌握好英语知识。

记忆单词的技巧其实也是多样化的：

刚接触一个生词的时候，我们不妨先把它进行分类。一种是按照单词的出现频率分类；另一种根据它常出现在的题型分类，包括写作词汇、听力词汇、阅读词汇。第一种分类方法我们都很熟悉，按题型分单词的方法其实对应试会更实用。

对于写作词汇，我们需要特别关注拼写和用法。因为作文中一旦有单词拼写错误就要扣分，保证拼写和使用的正确尤为重要，这类词汇使需要花比较大的精力去记忆的。在时间充足的情况下尽量在写作摹写时多使用，培养熟悉感。

如果是听力词汇，我们在记忆过程中要侧重发音正确和并尽可能记住一个单词的多种释义。读音的准确不言而喻，意义也同样重要，掌握单词所有的意义内涵对我们顺利做题也是有帮助的。因为初试并不考查学生的听力，所以在初试之前可以不用花时间在听力上，听力单词记在笔记中就可以了，但复试中部分院校会有要求，建议考生关注各个院校的复试要求，报考华东理工硕士研究生的考生则可以不用担心听力的问题。提醒学生背诵这类词汇一定要心口合一，边读边记忆。

阅读词汇主要侧重词汇与词义的对应。阅读词汇不是基础词汇，而是像第一种单词分类中的低频词汇，主要是在阅读过程中可能遇到的一些生词。大纲的5500词并没有把试卷中所有会出现的词汇罗列出来，只是提出了最重要的单词，如果考生做过历年真题就会发现，常常碰到有些单词出现在几篇文章之中，这样的词即使大纲没有要求也需要着重记忆。可以用一个单词本把感觉眼熟的单词记下来，然后当天抽时间查一下辞典，在晚上的时候回顾一遍，然后按周期回顾复习，这样就能把生词记成熟词。
