Hello everyone, the topic of my speech today is: Firm Faith, Transcend Yourself.

Helen Keller has saying vividly: "When a man feels the urge to fly high, he will never be satisfied with climbing on the ground." It is with lofty ideals that there is With this belief, she accepted the challenge of life and created the miracle of life.

She, a weak woman who is blind, deaf, and dumb, graduated from Harvard University, and used all her strength to run around to tell her that she built a charity organization for the benefit of the disabled, and was selected as one of the top ten American heroes and idols in the 20th century. As far as human life is concerned, if you want to survive, you only need a bowl of rice and a glass of water; but if you want to live a wonderful life, you must have spirit, lofty ideals and firm beliefs.

Ideals and beliefs make poor people rich, make people in darkness see light, make people in desperation see hope, and make dreams a reality.

Here I will tell you a story:

In the vast desert, an expedition team is trekking with difficulty. The scorching sun above the head was like fire, and the expedition team members were thirsty and sweating like rain. Worst of all, they ran out of water. Water is the belief that they rely on for survival. When the belief is shattered, one by one seems to have collapsed, lost their souls, and invariably turned their attention to the captain. This is how to do?

The captain took out a kettle from his waist, raised his hands, shook it vigorously, and shouted in surprise, "Oh, I still have a kettle of water here! But before crossing the desert, no one can drink it."

Finally, they escaped from death and walked out of the boundless desert. When everyone wept with joy, they stared at the kettle that gave them the support of their beliefs for a long time.

The captain carefully unscrewed the lid of the kettle, but what was slowly flowing out was wisps of sand. He said sincerely: "As long as there is a firm belief in the heart, dry sand can sometimes become clear spring water."

理想信念使贫困的人变成富翁，使黑暗中的人看见光明，使绝境中的人看到希望，使梦想变成现实。

下面我给大家讲一个故事：

浩瀚的沙漠中，一支探险队在艰难地跋涉。头顶骄阳似火，烤得探险队员们口干舌燥，挥汗如雨。最糟糕的是，他们没有水了。水就是他们赖以生存的信念，信念破灭了，一个个像塌了架，丢了魂，不约而同地将目光投向队长。这可怎么办？

队长从腰间取出一个水壶，两手举起来，用力晃了晃，惊喜地喊道：“哦，我这里还有一壶水！但穿越沙漠前，谁也不能喝。”

沉甸甸的水壶从队员们的手中依次传递，原来那种濒临绝望的脸上又显露出坚定的神色，一定要走出沙漠的信念支撑他们踉跄着，一步一步地向前挪动。看着那水壶，他们抿抿干裂的嘴唇，陡然增添了力量。

终于，他们死里逃生，走出茫茫无垠的沙漠，大家喜极而泣之时，久久凝视着那个给了他们信念支撑的水壶。

队长小心翼翼地拧开水壶盖，缓缓流出的却是一缕缕沙子。他诚挚地说：“只要心里有坚定的信念，干枯的沙子有时也可以变成清冽的泉水。”

黑人马丁·路德金有句名言：“这个世界上，没有人能够使你倒下。如果你自己的信念还站立着的话。”是的，即使在最困难的时候，也不要熄灭心中信念的火把。

同学们，不管你现在的成绩怎么样，不管你现在的基础怎么样，只要坚定信念，超越自我，你就有了努力的方向，你就有了奋斗的目标，你就有了生活的动力，你就有了成功的希望！

Why so many peopletried to invent the electric lamp, but only Thomas Edison succeedIf Edison, likemany others, had been stilted by repeated failures, there would be no vibrantmodern cities at night. His success proves that if a person is not scared byseemingly insurmountable adversity, he can find the way to success..

In my opinion, never stop working for your goal doesn’t mean you must besuccessful. It doesnt even mean that you must achieve your goal, but its veryimportant to keep it in your mind. There are enough unfavorable conditions whichmake our lives difficult, but what important for us is to make efforts towardsyour goal or your dream. If you have given your best for your goal or yourdream, whether you succeed or not, at least you wont leave any regret in yourlife.

Dont give up working for your goal or your dream. If you succeed, you willtaste great joy in your life. If you dont succeed, you wont have regret in yourlife because you have given your best.

Dreams are hard to follow, hold on and there will be tomorrow. You willfind the way with the strength to carry on. Don’t give up.
