Good evening, everyone. My name is WangHaili. I am an outgoing girl who likesreading and traveling. It’s really my great honor to stand here and giveeveryone a short speech.

People say, youth is fire which is ignited by passion. People say, youth is achapter of the poem which is written by stories. The color of youth is brightand we make most use of our ardor to draw the scenes to the canvas of we may be confused and lose our direction in the youth time. Under this,youth slips away. Roman Roland says, life doesn’t issue return ticket and cannever come back once sets out. So we should seize the short youth time and tryour best to pursue our ideal. Do what should we do and let our youth withoutregret.

When we refer to ideal, we will realize the importance of ideal. Ideal is thebeacon,. Without ideal, we will lose the firm direction. Without direction, wewill lose our life. According to this, every one of us should establish our ownideal .so that we have the direction of straggle to the future. Tolstoy tellsus, we should have the life objective from the whole life to the second. So weshould cherish every moment and form our systematic objective. Youth is theprime time. We have strong body and energy and can sense the meaning of lifeunder the guide of ideal.

As we know, the ideal is plentiful and reality is skinny. But we shouldbelieve that we will become stronger and stronger in the way to pursue is unknown,. If we hope our future is nice, we should enrich our youthtime and find the direction of future.

Let us use our youth to pursue our ideal and make our future wonderful. So wewill have gorgeous life.

I’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! my topic isOpportunities and Challenges.

First,I would like to know,what does your destiny offer][ you? Happiness,wisdom,a strong body or something else. If I had asked this question topresident Nixon,he would probably had said,”Our destiny offers not the cup ofdespair,but the chalice of opportunity.”

Needless to say,one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the 2008Olympic Games. Till now,we have used two sevenths of the preparation time. Howmuch changes have you seen? New roads,new subway lines,public-exercisingequipments with beautiful colors,large blocks of grass fields,and also lots ofmodern gyms which are under construction.

Other than those,there are even more good effects brought to us by theOlympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For example,more and more peoplewill get to know China.

I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attractthem strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment,for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness ofenvironmental protection is being strengthened. What is more,Olympic Games givea unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youthwith the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so manyadvances,could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?

I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyoneshould use some time to think of this question,”Does the Olympic Games have anyspecial meaning to you?”

For us,I mean the Chinese youth,2008 Olympic Games is a tremendous what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying thelove given to us 。The society is just like a ship,and in our dreams the captainis waving his hand and saying ”Hey! Come here and take the helm! ”How charminghis voice is,but we have never heard of it in our true life.

This morning,however,when we wake up,we will see the Olympic Games waving its hand. Afterchewing,most of us will have at least one plan about what to do for the OlympicGames. And mine is to be a “forter” ----that is someone who will give fort toothers.

At the end of my speech,I hope all the preparation will go well,andeveryone will show their ability to the world. Let us seize opportunities andgive a big smile to challenges.

Good morning! I am very glad to be here to share my college life with you 。

Two years ago， Icame into this city of and started my college life ， the most memorable journey of my life. Iwas just a shy and little girl that the things seemed fresh to me: new faces， large library and physics lab etc. i breathed the air of college greedily， Iwas curious about everything,the class given by the teachers are provide us with information not only from our textbook but from other sources as well,I actively involved in student union and varies of association, but soon i realized that i do not make full use of my spare time ，so i got a part-time job to help a junior student with math lessons besides，I also took part in activities concerning public welfare. we taught the kids there who could not afford school， i was deeply touched by their eagerness to learn， the precious experience with the poor kids made me aware of the responsibility on the shoulders of us-future teachers,the enrichment of experience taught me the significance of modesty，responsibility，tolerance，and perseverance.

And now i have been here two to the two years， I think i have to talk about one thing-learning. learn how to study independently， learn how to get along with others， learn to love， learn to，oh， there are too much things we have to learn.

Paring with senior high school， college is a rather different place. there aren’t so many people to watch you and guide you how to do something any more， neither are there so many students who share with you one dream in college， you must think and study yourself， so you have to learn and practice to control yourself.

Another relationship in college is friendship. my roommates have lived two years with m. in these years， they forgive my faults， cry with me， laugh with me， play with always stand with me and support me， I have learned a lot from them. I love them all and treasure the friendship with them.

In the next 2 years，I’ll try my best to and make great contributions to society! that’s my college cherish all i have experienced in college. I love you， my college!

与高中相比，大学是一个完全不一样的地方。没有很多人看你，指导你如何做某事，也有那么多的学生与你分享同一个梦想。在大学，你必须思考和研究自我，所以你要控制自我的学习和练习。

在大学的另一种关系是友谊。我的室友和我生活了两年。这些年来，他们原谅我的错误，跟我哭，和我笑，和我玩，他们总是站在我和支持我，我从他们身上学到了很多东西。我爱他们所有人，珍惜和他们的友谊。

在未来2年内，我将尽我最大的努力和社会做出伟大的贡献！这就是我的大学生活。我珍惜在大学里我经历了。我爱你，我的大学！
