社会在发展，对于一个家庭贫困的家庭来说培养一个高中生是多么的.不容易，有说不完的泪水，我依旧能够听到父母心里的那份担心——高中的费用多高呀？个性对于我这样一位来自西部农村的学生来说，有的时候不得不暗暗伤神。

社会在进步，20xx年的物价上涨好快呀，转眼2元的东西变成了4元，但是家里的收入还是依旧，这对于一个社会来说是件很普通的事，但是应对承担风险很小的低收入的家庭来说这是雪上添霜。人人都明白物价上涨意味着很多的人要付出更多，对于我们这些高中生来说面临的可能是退学或者休学……

就在这样的状况下，国家和学校对我们伸出援助之手。给予我们的直接是人民币，这不紧紧是金钱，这更多的是代表国家和学校没有忘记我们这些贫困的高中生，对于我们这样的高中生学校和老师也是同样的关注。因为有的时候我就会想到以前一个历史教师给我说的话——贫困的学生会被遗忘在教室的角落。真的有时候我都没有胆量去应对老师，老师的热情有的时候真的让我感到害怕，有的时候是一种说不出的感觉。但是学校及老师们用他们的行动证明了他们关爱，我们是学校整体的一部分而不是被遗忘在角落的垃圾。

当然金钱意味着我家里能够少给我一点生活费，减轻家里的负担。同时能够把以前一些挤挤的生活费中拿出一部分钱去买一些学习及相关的一些物品。说实在的，我都已经大三了但是我从来都没有给爸爸妈妈买过一件礼物，因为父母给我的钱只是生活费，“零用钱”那是好家庭的孩子说的话。我都大三了我真的好想去买一件礼物送给他们，但是当我送去的时候却是他们给我的钱，对于我这样一个学习不太好的学生如果外出兼职的话成绩更差。没有办法我只有等待，等待将来有一天我的有潜力挣到钱了在去给他们买些礼物吧？但是学校给予的助学金使我改变了想法：我今年将给父母买件礼物过去，是青岛十分易见的珊瑚。我要在今年过年的时候送给他们，因为他们以前在电视上看见却没有真的看见过。我用的是学校给予的助学金购买，同时告诉他们国家和学校对于我们这些贫困高中生是关注的。

助学金的给予是给我们带给了极大的帮忙，给予我的是一种说不出的勇气，这种勇气不是用言语说出来的，我有勇气给我的父母买珊瑚了，不用担心他们说是用自我的钱来给自我买东西了，同时我更有自信，我减少对生活费的忧愁。我能够安心地在教室里看书，我更有勇气去和老师谈谈我关心的科学问题。同时我更有信心，我虽然成绩不好，但是我能够透过学习来弥补这段差距，因为在我身边还有很多关心和关注我们的老师，他们是热情的，而不是我以前认为的那种冰冷的感觉。信心和勇气我都坚信我将来必须能像其他同学一样做个合格的高中生。
