英语诗歌朗诵【第一篇】
a london thoroughfare（2 ）
amy lowell 一条伦敦大马路（午夜二时）
阿米·罗维尔
they have watered the street,
it shines in the glare of lamps,
cold,white lamps,
and lies
like a slow-moving river,
barred with silver and black.
cabs go down it,
one,
and then another.
between then i hear the shuffling of feet.
tramps doze on the window-ledges,
night-walkers pass along the side-walks.
the city is squalid and sinister,
with the silver-barred street in the midst,
slow-moving,
a river leading nowhere.
opposite my window,
the moon cuts,
clear and round,
through the plum-colored night.
she cannot light the city;
it is too bright.
it was white lamps,
and glitters coldly.
i stand in the window and watch the moon.
she is thin and lustreless,
but i love her.
i know the moon,
and this is an alien city.
人们在街上洒了水，
街道在灯光中扬辉，
冷，白色的灯，
躺着
像一条河慢慢流进，
有银色、黑色的条纹，
马车走过来，
一台，
又是一台。
在它们之间夹着脚音。
脚音在窗台上打盹，
人行道上过着夜行的人。

有银线条的街在它中心，
慢慢的流着
一条没有出口的河。
正对着我的窗
有澄净的，圆圆的
月亮，
穿过杏色的穹苍，
她不会照耀城市；
由于城市太亮。
城市有白色的灯
放射着冷光。
我站在窗边望着月亮，
她太冷淡而不辉煌，
但我爱她，
月亮是我的故人，
城市在异乡。

I’ll give you some advice about life.
给你生活的忠告，
Eat more roughage;
多吃些粗粮；
Do more than others expect you to do and do it pains;
给别人比他们期望的更多，并用心去做；
Remember what life tells you;

Don’t take to heart every thing you hear. Don’t spendall that you have. Don’t sleep as long as you want;

Whenever you say” I love you”， please say it honestly;

Whevever you say” I’m sorry”， please look into the other person’s eyes;

Fall in love at first sight;

Don’t neglect dreams;
请不要忽视梦想；
Love deeply and ardently, even if there is pain, but this is the way to make your life complete;

Find a way to settle, not to dispute;

Never judge people by their appearance;

Dont listen to those who say,
“Its not done that way.”
Maybe its not, but maybe you will.
Dont listen to those who say,
“Youre taking too big a chance.”
Michelangelo would have painted the Sistine Floor,
and it would surely be rubbed out by today.
Most importantly, dont listen
When the little voice of fear inside of you
rear its ugly head and says,
“Theyre all smarter than you out there.
Theyre more talented,
Theyre taller, blonder, prettier, luckier and have connections.。.”
I firmly believe that if you follow a path that interests you,
Not to the exclusion of love, sensitivity, and cooperation with others,
But with the strength of conviction
That you can move others by your own efforts,
And do not make success or failure the criteria by which you live,
The chances are youll be a person worthy of your own respect.
走自我的路

别听那些人的话，

When Day Is Done
当时光已逝
If the day is done ，
假如时光已逝，
If birds sing no more 。
鸟儿不再歌唱，
If the wind has fiagged tired ，
风儿也吹倦了，
Then draw the veil of darkness thick upon me ，
那就用黑暗的厚幕把我盖上，
Even as thou hast wrapt the earth with The coverlet of sleep and tenderly closed ，
如同黄昏时节你用睡眠的衾被裹住大地，
The petals of the drooping lotus at dusk。
又轻轻合上睡莲的花瓣。
From the traverer，
路途未完，行囊已空，
Whose sack of provisions is empty before the voyage is ended ，
衣裳破裂污损，人已精疲力竭。
Whose garment is torn and dust-laden ，
你驱散了旅客的羞愧和困窘，
Whose strength is exhausted，remove shame and poverty ，
使他在你仁慈的夜幕下，
And renew his life like a flower under
如花朵般焕发生机。
The cover of thy kindly night 。
在你慈爱的夜幕下苏醒。
