单词卡片、教学光盘
Step 1:Warm-up
1.利用课件展示各种职业的图片,让学生开火车说出各种职业,或者出示单词卡片让学生反应其表示的职业,如:factory worker, postman, businessman, police officer, fisherman, scientist, pilot, coach。
2.师生问答,练习重点句型:
T:What does your mother do?
S1:She is a businesswoman.
T:Where does she work?
S1:She works in a company.
T:How does she go to work?
S1:She goes to work by car.
Step 2:Presentation
1.List five jobs. Compare with your partner. How many different jobs are there in both lists.
2.引导学生阅读“Read and write”部分,并思考找出“What does Hu Bin/Sarah/Robin like?”让学生用快速阅读的方法从短文中找出答案,并填入表格,核对答案。
3.用对话的形式帮助学生理解单词,如:If you like science,you can be a scientist.(帮助理解“if”)
If you like sports,you can be a coach,a sports reporter,or a PE teacher.帮助学生理解“reporter”,可运用肢体语言解释。
If you can type quickly,you can be a secretary.(帮助理解“type,quickly”)
4.一边播放“Read and write”的录音,一边让学生结合课后问题,理解课文,找出每个人的喜好以及工作地点,想从事的职业,填入课文标题,并相互讨论课文难以理解的句子,无法理解的时候,教师集中解答疑难。
Step 3:Consolidation and extension
1.教师以问答的形式示范和学生的对话,如:
T:What does your father do?
S1:He is a businessman.
T:Where does he work?
S1:He works in an office.
2.学生自由朗读“Tips for pronunciation”中的句子,然后同桌互读并交流需要注意的问题。播放光盘,对比区分发音,老师引导停顿的地方,再次播放光盘,跟读、学习并注意停顿的地方,找学生上台诵读并评论。
3.课堂小练习:翻译。
(1)If you can type quickly,you can be a secretary.
如果你打字快,你可以成为一名秘书。
(2)If you like science,you can be a scientist.
如果你喜欢科学,你可以成为一名科学家。
