1.纸质私人英文信件在互联网时代仍然是交流的好方式

在互联网飞速发展的今天,人们的生活和工作与网络密切相关,网络在给我们的生活带来巨大便利的同时,也改变了人们的交流方式,手机、微信和电子邮件已逐渐取代了传统的私人信件成为人们相互问候、表达思想和传递情感的主流交流方式。交流方式的改变是科学技术和人类文明进步的体现,是值得我们称赞和骄傲的事情,但每当我打开抽屉看到几个泛黄的信封,我的思绪难以平静,因为信封里珍藏的是读大学时和家人朋友的美好记忆,点点滴滴的往事在信纸上隐隐约约呈现,可被网络包围的我们似乎已经忘记还可以通过纸笔写信的方式与友人沟通,这种具有悠久历史的通信方式在科技发达的今天不应该被人们遗忘,尤其对于英语学习者来说,纸质私人英文信件的重新拾起对传承传统的书信文化甚至为培养英语学习者的语言技能拓宽了学习的渠道。纸质私人英文信件具有现代通信方式所不能比拟的优势,首先,英文书写是一门艺术。通过一笔一划的字母和字母的连接展现的不但是一个具有特定含义或含义虚拟的单词,而且还给读者带来强烈的视觉冲击,所以在衣服图案的设计上,设计者总是以印刷英文字母来提升衣服的美感,事实果真如此,优美的英文书写确实能增加消费者的购物欲望。其次,纸质私人信件交流的目的大多以情感分享为主,如果在节日或特殊的场合亲手写信给家人或朋友,白纸黑字的信纸无疑透露着点点温情。最后,纸质英文私人信件需要语言学习者具备一定的语言功力才能完成,基于私人信件非正式的写作风格,写信人可以在轻松随意的气氛中表达感情和分享信息,通过一定数量的信件交流,写信人的写作能力在不知不觉中得到了提高。

抬头。在纸质私人英文信件中,写信人的地址和写信的时间是常见的部分,而且还要放在最开始的显眼位置。纸质私人信件的交流对象通常是家人和朋友,收信人从地址的信息就可以很快地判断写信人的身份以及和自己的关系,从日期收信人可以推断信件在邮寄过程中所花费的时间。如果双方关系亲密,写信人的地址往往被省略。写信人的地址和日期可以放在信纸的右上角,也可以放在左上角,但不能同时放在一排,通常日期放在地址的下方。

称呼语。称呼语是纸质私人英文信件中不可省略的一部份。通常放在信纸的左边,但要放在日期的下一行。称呼语是写信人对收信人的一种尊称,也是人际交往中礼貌的表现。称呼语有两种,一种是正式的称呼语,开头用Dear加上称谓,如果是家人关系,可以称呼为亲爱的舅妈、外公等。如果是朋友关系,可以加上收信人的名,比如亲爱的玛丽、露西等,另一种是非正式的称呼语,如果双方的关系亲密,就用Hi来代替Dear, 交流气氛会更轻松。

正文。正文是纸质私人英文信件中最重要的一部份,根据写信的内容多少,可以是一段或几段,通常每一段的开头需要缩格,而且段与段之间要空一行。在纸质私人英文信件中,正文的内容没有限制,甚至有部份写信人在写信过程中受到情绪的影响,可能想到什么写什么,常见的内容包括:家庭琐事、近况介绍、信息分享、感情交流、寻求帮助。从正文的内容,收信人可以判断写信人写信的原因,从而决定是否立刻回信。由于是纸质英文私人信件,正文的用语可以是非正式用语,无形中拉近了双方的距离,使得纸质私人英文信件有温馨感。

信尾客套话。正文结束后的部份是信尾客套话。信尾客套话要和信件的抬头放在同一方向,而且在客套话后要加逗号。虽然是客套话,无需要句子来表达,只需简短的几个词就可以了,甚至一个词就够了,只要词语能传递对收信人的真诚祝福或者是浓浓爱意的表白,与商务信件相比,纸质私人英文信件的信尾客套话更灵活和丰富,也是写信人强烈情感的再度体现。信尾客套话和称呼语的感情是相互交融,互相呼应的。

签名。签名要放在信尾客套话的下一行,签名后无需加逗号。收信人看到签名,也就标志着信件内容的结束。根据写信人和收信人的关系,写信人可以签全名、名或者小名,在私人英文信件中,写信人很少签全名,因为全名无疑把收信人和写信人之间的距离拉开了,给人以生疏感。

附言。附言部份是可有可无的部份,除非写信人觉得必要,否则一般的纸质私人英文信件无需附言。写信人通常在签名后空一行写附言,附言要坚持言简意赅的原则,切忌冗长,千万不能给对方画蛇添足的感觉。附言通常起到信息提醒、强调或者补充的作用。因为附言是在签名后,收信人对附言会格外重视,处理的态度也会相对谨慎。

3.纸质英文私人信件交流的建议

非正式语言的使用。纸质英文私人信件是交流的一种有效形式,充分展示了写信人和收信人之间的连接,能产生强烈的分享感。无论写信的内容是什么,交流的对方是谁,纸质英文私人信件双方应采用非正式的语言来体现通信双方是彼此了解而且关系是亲密的,双方的关系越亲密,交流选择的非正式语言越多。这种非正式的语言主要体现在词或语句的选择上,可以是口语化的词、词语(包括网络语、俚语等)、表达方式、缩略和省略的方式,句子的语言结构相对简单,不一定要完整。这种简单和随意的语言无形中又加深了双方的感情。

巧妙设计信件内容。如果信件的内容太短,则不需要分段,写信人把事情表达清除即可。如果内容稍长,可以根据内容划分为几个部分;开头,正文和结尾。下笔前,写信人最好把主要的内容在脑海中列个提纲,以免遗漏。信件的开头是正文的铺垫,写信人要把握简明扼要的原则,内容的提及要讲求自然得体,并避免以一种道歉的方式来开始,比如"我很抱歉很长时间没有给你写信了,或者没有及时给你写信,请你原谅"诸如此类的话。开篇的内容可以简单说说你最近在做的事情、最近一次与收信人见面的时间或者告诉收信人一则好信息等,以提起收信人继续读信的兴趣和好奇心。 正文部份就是传递信息,任何信息都可以,重要的或不重要的,但写信人在信息选择时还是有主次之分的,首选的是最近自己经历的事件,其次是发生在自己周围的事件,最后才考虑社会中发生的热门话题等。如果正文部分内容丰富的话,可以分段完成。但写信人要铭记一点;不能只写和自己有关的或自己关注的事件,一定要真诚地询问对方的状况如健康、工作或小孩等,让对方感受到你的诚意和对收信人的关注,从而实现有效地交流,从而鼓励收信人及时回信以回复你所关注的问题,从长远来看,还能加深双方的友谊。纸质私人英文信件结尾的内容是灵活的,有良好的信件开头,就需要有画龙点睛的结尾,结尾内容应以轻松美好让人愉悦的语句收尾,简短的语言让收信人产生快乐的感觉。常规的结尾是祝福语的使用,收信人的身体健康、学业进步、家庭幸福等等。

4.结论
