回顾过去这一个学期的英语教学工作，有收获的喜悦与甘甜，但也有挫折时的彷徨与无奈。为了能够查缺补漏，取人之长补已之短，以利于在今后更好地开展自己的工作，在此对本学年的教学工作作了一点总结。
今年，我任教八年级(1)班(2)班的英语。这两个班的学生的特点就是两极分化严重，每个班仅有几名成绩稍好的学生，其余成绩都较差。特别是二班，上课课堂纪律较差，想学的学生静不下心来学。很多学生觉得学习英语比较枯燥，并且觉得学习英语没有用。究其原因，是学生对英语学习的接触面小，说练机会少 ,使得学生对英语学习常常存在“厌、怕、弃”的不健康的心理。这使我不得不改进教学方法，在教学中努力做到以下几点：
第一、确立学生的主体地位
学生是学习的主体。老师只能让学生自己读书，自己感受事物，自己观察、分析、思考，从而明白任何一个道理和掌握任何一条规律。于是我改变“一言堂”,把课堂还给学生，形成师生交往、积极互动、共同发展的教学过程。
第二、使学生明白学习目的
要学好英语，首先要使学生认识到学这一语言的目的和意义。要学生了解到学习英语是多么重要。只有学生自觉地把自己的理想与命运和现在的学业联系起来，才会对英语学习真正感兴趣，这种兴趣也有可能转为学习英语的动力。所以我的课堂，常常教授学生最简单的句子，并常常运用所学句型造句。
第三、培养英语学习兴趣
英语作为一门外语，既生疏又困难。要教好英语，就要让学生喜爱英语，让他们对英语产生兴趣。所以我 如尽多使用多媒体设备进行教学；开展形式多样、生动活泼的课堂语言实践活动；介绍英美国家的文化，生活故事 等等。使他们了解英语、喜欢英语，从而培养了学生学习英语的兴趣。
第四、积极创造语言情景
给学生们创设了语言情景。比如在迟到报告是我要求他们使用英语来报告，在课堂中遇到问题时也要用英语来提问。慢慢的，每个同学都会开口说那么几句。英语也算真正运用上了。今后我积极加强自身的课程改革理论学习，转变教育理念，建立以学生为本的教育观念，树立活动教学观，争取做一名具有现代素养的人民教师。
